If there should be a need for arranging Lasting Power of Attorney, Khan Thornton can help smooth the process in a professional and sensitive manner. Our team have experience of arranging Lasting Power of Attorney at many stages in people’s lives and understand the specialist needs that some people can require.
We aim to make the process as simple and unobtrusive as possible. You will be asked to provide the names of two individuals who can be authorised to make decisions on the client’s behalf, in case of future mental incapacity e.g. stroke, or caused by accident or other factors. The names of one’s chosen attorneys can be added on the form provided,
together with details of a preferred witness. Khan Thornton will then complete the prescribed form, combining it with the information already held on file, for the client’s approval.
This service and the arrangement offers protection and peace of mind for a one-off fee of £620 + VAT. This applies to Lasting Power of Attorney for both “property and financial affairs” and also “health and welfare”, (these are described further in our Guide to Lasting Power of Attorney).
At Khan Thornton, we make sure someone takes care of our clients’ affairs even if our clients may become unable to do so.
